Default ECx Client For Win XP

Just wondering if someone can direct me to a link to download the software (VNC) as I can't seem to find it on the website - and will be using a hire console so won't have the disk! (or is it just the standard 1.0.2 version that you can download from uvnc.com?)

Many thanks,
Dan

Hi Dan,

There are two components to the ECx software: the server and the client.

The client runs on your PC and can be downloaded for free from the uvnc website. The server is installed (and runs) on the console itself, and must be installed from the ECx CD. Contact Digi customer service to arrange to get a copy.

Hi Sheldon,

Thanks for your quick reply, thought this was the case but just wanted to check that the client didn't have any proprietry digi stuff in it. Console's Orbital's so will already have it installed.

You need to pop over and see us again this year if you have time - more show's in the west end on digi this year (i'm having a profile this time)..

Cheers,

Dan (Met you on Footloose last year)

Hi Dan,

There's nothing proprietary about the VNC client so you're good to go with the download version. Other VNC clients will also likely work, although they're not officially tested (as w/ UltraVNC). A few folks have even managed to control the console from their PDA's.

Great to hear more VENUE systems are making their way onto West End shows! I look forward to seeing you and the rest of the Orbital crew in Septmeber when I'm over for PLASA.

Sheldon
