Default Renaming Clips/Files

Quick question,

Why, when doing a rename for clips (Shift+Command+R), does the prompt sometimes let you rename both Clip & Disk File, and sometimes it just lets you rename the Clip Only?

Double click a file in the Clip bin and the dialog has options to "name clip only" and "name clip and disk file."

If the clip does not represent the whole file length (for instance you trimmed it or cut it) then you will not get the option to name the file. You will only get the option to name the clip.

Easy solution is to consolidate the clip (thereby making a new file) and renaming that new "clip" which actually represents the full new consolidated file.
