Default Problems with AAFs from Davicini Resolve 15

I'm having an impossible time exporting anything that my ProTools sound mixer can use. The AAFs Resolve 15 are generating are missing automation which is a big problem. Has anyone solved this??

In reading other posts, I though I would try exporting an XML for FCPX and then using X2Pro Convert to generate the AAF but every time I try to create an XML, Resolve crashes. We have also tried exporting an XML for Premiere and then generating an AAF in Premiere but lots of clips are missing, etc, when we use that approach.

This is such a basic need with any NLE, how could this not work especially when there is a ProTools export present actually built into the Deliver module??

Has anyone found a reliable way of getting an AAF out of Resolve for ProTools or just getting the audio out in any usable way?

I’d recommend posting this on the Blackmagic forums, it’s going to be their issue & Im sure they are keen for interoperability.

Thank you. I have posted it on the Blackmagic forums too. In conversations with Blackmagic tech support though they have suggested that I bring this up with Avid...

Please keep us updated on your progress. some editors I am working with are thinking of switching from Premier to Resolve.
