1029's have been replaced with the 8020's .... and rightfully so imvho.
Definately worth looking into are the blue sky active monitors. I've been using a pair of those as my small speakers (who needs NS10's if you can get monitors that sound good right ... ) And if you want really really really small ... ebay : auratone cubes ... passive though.
