Default BFD Crashes won\'t Sound on Protools TDM

Using Windows XP Pro Pentium 4 1 gig ram 3.4Ghz speed w/ Protools TDM v6.1

Recently, Installed BFD drums. It works fine on my Logic Platinum system, but crashes Protools.

Here's what I do:

1. Instatiate BFD in an audio track. Choices are BFD stereo, BFD all, BFD groups, BFD ultra, FXExpansion stereo. Of these the only one that will open is FXEXpansion stereo. Once open I load a drum kit.
2. Create midi track, choose FXExpansion. Put midi thru function on. Hit keyboard. Midi track LED's light up, but no sound on audio track for BFD. Plug won't play loops or anything.
3. If I try to uninstatiate plug in ProTools closes and crashes. Shortly after blue screen crash, but not before hitting "OK" on a bunch of Runtime error windows that pop up.

I've tried installing BFD on system drives as well as other drives. No difference. I've downloaded latest version 1.5. No difference. I've used it in Logic with an M audio card and using TDM card and works great, but not in Protools. I've played w/ the playback engine settings, but no difference. I hear people talking about a Wrapper, but I don't know what this is. Also, I don't know what the diffence between FXexpansion stereo and BFD stereo in the insert list. FXexpansion at least allows me to open the plug in and load a drum kit. All other choices on insert list, cause an instance crash. Once Protools closes, after using BFD, I can't reopen Protools or shut computer down normally, I have to force shut-down manually.

Any advice. Remember this being used on Windows XP Pro. Thanks

BFD won't work on 6.1. The oldest version we support is 6.4; upgrading to 6.7 or 7.0 is highly recommended if you can because of the improvements to software-instrument support in those versions, but if your TDM hardware is a Mix system, 6.4 is the highest you can go.

If I upgrade to 6.4, do the corresponding Digi and Waves plug ins need upgrading to?

Don't think so, no -- all the 6.1-compatible plugs should work fine in 6.4 as well.
