Default How to separate regions on one track based on another track?

Here is what I'm trying to do:

I have in my session two audio tracks. On the first track, there are about 100 regions, some continuous, some are not. On the second track is a single continuous file/region, spanning the same total length of time as the audio on the first track. What I'd like is to be able to cut up this second file into the same number and size regions as the first track above it, in other words, so that it is "cut" the same way as the audio above. I know that I can manually select each region in the first track, then use the semicolon key to move that selection to the track below it, and then do a Separate Region, and then move on to the next region in the first track and repeat the process until they've all been separated.

But is there a faster way? Is it possible to make a selection across the first track, and then have those region lengths copied to the track below it and separated? Or does it have to be done manually region by region? Is there perhaps a way to use Beat Detective's "Separate Regions" command to do this? Or some other trick?

Right, I suppose there's always Quickeys...but is there no way to do it without buying Quickeys?
