Default RIP David Cassidy

Sad to hear of his passing - what an incredible singer he was. Sure, it was bubblegum/pop, but his voice combined with the Wrecking Crew and Ron Hicklin Singers made for some great productions. Sad I never got to see or meet him...

But how much of what was heard was really Cassidy's voice? Unlike the recently passed Mel Tillis whose voice was truly his.

He had a very distinct voice you hear loud and clear on the recordings. There were some early Partridge Family recordings made for the tv show that he didn't sing on because they hadn't realized what a great voice he had, but he sang all the hits - some really great songs by the way.

David Cassidy was not only a supremely talented singer, writer and performer but he did so while getting little respect from peers in the early days despite he himself actually being more of a hard worker and genuine talent than many successful artists of his time. Much respect to you David, RIP and travel well on your next journey :) peace
