Eucon 3.7 Review Video

Hey guys, some of the new people here may not know but I shoot videos covering reviews, workflow tips and functionality with the Dock. I was mostly covering the Dock with Adobe Premiere but have now moved on to start covering the Dock with Pro Tools.

Anyway, I finally had a chance to edit and post my 3.7 review video. I know it's a little late to the game but if you have some time to kill you can check it out. I don't have the smooth delivery of Collyer Spreen so listening to me is sometimes as entertaining as watching paint dry but it does the job.

Ah, thanks for the compliment! 1 or 2 I have to re-shoot since Adobe changed their keyboard shortcuts for Premiere!

Hi, Anthony - thanks for a video.
I saw that you use 2 Artist Mixes with a Dock. So, I have a question concerning VCA spill. I've read that it works by touching a VCA track in PT App - is the only way to active VCA members on Artist Mixes? Or could be activated by clicking on it (VCA track) in PT, or even better, from Artist Mix using SELECT button?
I think about adding 2 Artist Mixes to my Dock ( like you have), and I see my workflow like that:
I would have as the main layout (in Artist Mixes) all VCAs in the session - I think 16 faders is enough to cover all sessions, even large ones. So, if I want to rich any VCA track members I would just hit SEL button right from the Artist Mix.
Is it working that way?
I couldn't imaging better workflow for operating PT sessions

VCA Spill for the Artist Mix only works from the iPad App. You tap a VCA and it attentions it to the Dock Fader and spills on to the Mix's.

what a pity ... What is the consequence of pressing the SEL button in Artist Mix? Does it select a track only in PT? Not in the iPad app?
If it selects a track in the App , maybe ... then I can just press the Sel button in a Dock to attention it. It’s still better way than fishing tracks in the App.

You could filter by VCA in the iPad Tracks page

I know about it, but it does not solve the case for me. Because I want to have All tracks ready to attention - so I don't want to filter anything in the App.
Well, I repeat my question from the previous post:

Yes pressing Sel selects tracks in the DAW. It also attentions/focus it to the Dock fader/iPad

so then just pressing the Sel button on a Dock will work like tapping a track in the App, right?
