Re: clock changes to 192k when I quit PT?
Interesting. Did anyone find a solution, even of changing the "default" sample rate to 96k? I just want to avoid switching over to a 3X rate.

Did you try changing sample rate in the audio MIDI set up app?

I was having this happen a while back. I went into audio midi sep up & in there it was set to 192. I changed it to 48 & the issue was resolved.

Re: clock changes to 192k when I quit PT?
Thanks for pointing me in the right direction, I think that did it! I had actually checked Audio MIDI setup before, but only when Pro Tools was running which meant that the HDX option didn't appear. But I went back with PT shut down, changed it over, and that seems to do it. Thanks!

Re: clock changes to 192k when I quit PT? [solved]
I'm a bit late to the party but it does this with my symphony's as well... even though you have discovered that changing core audio fixes it I find that often it forgets that it's been "fixed" and defaults back to 192... I think this is OS/ Core Audio which is the problem . is yours staying put on 48 now you've changed it or are you finding you have to keep updating it every once in a. while?

Re: clock changes to 192k when I quit PT? [solved]
Symphony here, huge PITA problem, as I have 100feet Digilink cables and cannot reset to 44.1 from within ProTools.
In fact, I have to do a full hardware reset on the main (clock master) Symphony IO whenever this happens. Sometimes I can get it back from within Audio/Midi Setup but not always. |

Re: clock changes to 192k when I quit PT? [solved]
I had this just now with my new MTRX Studio where the sample rate reverted back to 192 when quitting pro tools if dadman settings were for the sync to be via digilink. System audio settings did not change it. I found that if I opened the previous Avid Streaming server Coreaudio settings app I used with my Omni, I could change it there and it stuck. It was indeed saying 192khz in that Avid Coreaudio settings software panel. After changing that, all good for now.
