Default Highest OSX to run pro tools 10 HD
At the moment i'm on Lion, what is the highest OSX i can upgrade to without issues and and is it just a simple upgrade or do i have to start from scratch with a clean install.

When we were running those OSX Versions back in the day we just ran the installer over the older one. I have never done it anyother way and we are nowo. sierra and High Sierra on all Mac computers here. No issues has popped up for the past 7 years.

Hi,

Ive got an 10.8.5 boot as well but for me personally it runs better on 10.7.5 Also the graphics driver on 10.8.5 for me isn't compatible with my monitors. so i don't really see any advantage going to 10.8.5

If you're going to go there then use CCC carbon copy cloner to clone your Lion drive to another drive and update from there and see how it works for you.

Thanks Chris. I’ve back up my drive with Time Machine is that not any good to use. Only reason I’m thinking of up grading. To use Rig manager with my kempers I need to be on a different OS

I had no issues on 10.9.5, uninstall is a pain, but maneagable..

The normal uninstall doesn’t work, so you have to do it manually, which is not that big of a deal really. Do a search and you’ll find the instructions.
