Default I Know the answer is here somewhere - But I can\'t find it...

Sorry, I can't find the thread that explains how to fix my problem.

Problem:

I recorded a session @ 24 bit/48K. (via s/pdif)

When I BTD - 16bit/44.1 - my BTD file (now aiff) plays back slower and in a different key.

I'm sure (at least I hope I am) I can record @ 48k & BTD to 41.1K without dropping pitch...

Thanks

Sparky

I assume you are bringing this bounced file into a new 16 bit 44k session OR opening it in quicktime, peak, or another 2 track player. sounds wierd. If you are somehow bringing this back into your original session then that would explain it. also if your clock is still set to digital, it possibly could be setting the session to 48k thats playing this bounced file.

Man - I love this group!

Thanks for the quick response "naireko"

How do I determine if my clock is still set to digital?

not sure what happened there with the double post.

check the Session setup window in one of the menus (forgot which one) or in the playback engine or hardware window. it can be set there

Well - I went to the session setup & it said 44100.

Since we last spoke - I've been panicking & changing settings like there's no tomorrow - so I may have gone back and changed it & now it would be correct.

The good news is - you've taught me something - and I hope it won't happen again (not likely - but I can hope )

Thanks,

Sparky

Good to hear it's working. Good luck and I am off to bed.
