Default PT11 keeps freezing
Hi Guys,

I'm fairly new to PT but in a situation where i need the program to run without hickups. The problem is, it keeps freezing on startup. I have to force quit PT and try again. Sometimes PT opens but I cant click anything..

How can i fix this? Any ideas?

Have you tried holding down "N" when booting? This will let you select your interface.

JFreak, completely missed that, my bad..

I'm running PT11.2.2 on a macbook pro mid 2010 2.4GHz, 8Gb RAM. Currently using Apogee Duet2 interface. Should I update to 11.3?

Park Seward, thanks for the tip but I'm not even getting to that point if it freezes. Logo is just bouncing in the dock and if I press cmd + opt + esc it says "not responding".

Do you have a co-install with PT 10.x?

OS is 10.8.5, don't have a co-install. Just bought PT11 a couple weeks back..

You may want to try PT 11.3.

Are all PT11.x files interchangeable? I would be a tremendous hassle if I can't open a 11.3 file in 11.2.. I'm doing a lot of live playback work and need to be able to send files and projects to other people..

.ptx session files are compatible with PT10.0.0 and later

They are interchangeble and you can open all the sessions from PT11 versions in 11.3
