d.j's help.sampling off vinyl. help me!!

hey everybody im a dj and great ideas about sampling. now i'v heard sampling before but don't know exactly how it works. i have stanton t.62 and a numark m6 mixer. i have the 1/8 inch to rca cable and connect the rca from my mixer to the 1/8 inch jack in my mbox mini. i arm an audio track,play my record and i get nothing. my goal is to scratch a nice 8 bars. any d.j's with sampling skills please help.a.s.a.p!!!thanks

There is an 1/8" jack on the mbox mini :S ??

Make sure that the track you've armed in Pro Tools is set to use the same input as the one your Mixer output is plugged into (probably input 1).

Also make sure the Mic/Line button on the back of the Mini is set to "Line"
