When recording vocals on a instrumental its skippy
Im new to Pro Tools and barely know the basics and I am having problems recording vocals onto instrumentals. I have two tracks set up one with an instrumental beat on it and the other for my mic which is a usb m-audio producer. When I play the instrumental track and try and record the instrumental starts skipping and cutting out and I dont know why. When I check my CPU it goes from about 60% all the way to 100%. Is there some kind of setting I'm missing? I can't seem to figure it out. I have 2GB of ram and a Celeron Processor. Is my computer the problem or is it just something I have to change within the program? Any suggestions would help. Thanks

Re: When recording vocals on a instrumental its skippy
Well, just a thought, no Celeron is approved for Pro Tools.
