Default rackmount PC case help

Hi!

Time has come to rackmount my computers...and HTPC one.

I want to be able to do surgery on the rackmount puters, so I must be able to slide em out somehow.
Next, I must be able to fit my ASUS P4C800-E Deluxe motherboard and HD4 Accel cards in there.
And use my trusty Antec TruePower power supplies.

I really like the cases Sweetwater is using for their Creation STation Rack systems, but I am guessing if I posted there, it would be a no-no, since people would just grab the parts and build themselves...or maybe not... Anyway- anyone know what case they are using? It fits HD cards, and that motherboard...and I believe it is shallow enough to use in shockmount rack cases with 23" or more of room, and I think 20" extension sliding rack rails work with it too. Plus, I like the appearance (aluminum front doors...mmm...).

thx!

Nikki-K,
HOLY CRAP! You are alive, and moved it seems! What happened to FL? Glad to see that you are alive and still around!

I recently went through a studio revamp and bought 3 rack cases from www.servercases.com

picked up 3 of these :

http://www.kricomputer.com/shop/inde...75c830426e58cc

They are 4U and hold an aircraft carrier. Tons of space, heavy though, but can have hot swap if setup that way. Also, I recommend the RACK RAILS for easy access.

Good stuff and look great in my silent case that I had built.

How are you???

- Doc

Nikki,

I'm not absolutely positive, but I think the creation stations from sweetwater use an ANTEC case originally designed merely as a hdd storage case and have custom ordered the motherboard mounting holes. Antec has a few options that may work for you without customization though:

Whats up Doc?!?!?! lol!
Yeah, finally getting back in the swing of things. Moved to Portland, Oregon. Public transportation is sweet here, love the weather and the "feel" of the place (especially Hawthorne area ). Fell in love with someone, moved, and am trying to find time to set things back up...in a rented house tho, so I am trying to streamline and reorganize a bit.

I actually sold one of those green universes Actually thinning out extra/doubles/unplayed instruments and gear right now, and then grabbing a few pieces I want to round things out, and a few toys I just...want Hows by you?

Thx for the responses!!! Time to find a place to order a couple of those Enermax cases and then make em Sssssss!

Those things are too expensive, you should have just gone with these:

https://www.3dcool.com/Products.asp?id=445

Just did my new rackmount case with the 600W and all silent fans, even on the Thermalright CPU cooler. Mounted in my rack I don't hear ANYTHING anymore except for the optical drives if they run, but who uses them while recording anyways?
