Yeah, a nice presentation that points up the problems of trying to make a satisfying surround mix which downmixes correctly to stereo (or even 5.1) - *really* important for those of us doing music-only surround, where primary musical material may be in the sides/tops and 'pulled away' from the front plane - now even more difficult with Atmos. Unless everything is panned directly to specific speakers the downmix will never match, and even then you've got the problem that Dolby's 2.0 downmix will always sum the sides/rears in at -3.
