+1

The problem with IdeaScale is that I think that many do not take it very seriously and do not care to vote or report problems/ideas. It seems that nobody reads it and updates it, features that have the most requests (like the age old track freeze) never get implemented etc. It is a little bit like this forum - we can discuss and complain about serious bugs among ourselves but it is hard to see that it has any effect on what Avid does. Frustrating...

Has this bug been solved in the most recent updates to PT 11?

I read all the bug fixes and some seemed to apply, but were pretty vague, so I'm not sure if its been fixed or not. I have a slow connection and haven't been able to download the newest updates yet.

No, it has not been resolved and Avid has us voting on it getting fixed.

Please everyone take a moment and vote to fix the Automatic Delay Compensation.

I agree this is a problem and needs to be fixed, no voting about it. I cant be the only person though that did a bit of re routing and a couple of changes, (took me maybe 5 minutes to figure it out) and was back to working with no issues. When a track needs bounced, just solo it and offline bounce it and drag it back in. Again, it needs to be fixed, but I just dont see it as such a show stopping issue it seems to be made out to be.

On the basis that not many people have voted, Avid might be inclined to believe
... not many people are affected
We understand this issue is important.

We use IdeaScale as one data point, it's not the only one. Bug fixes are prioritized using a combination of factors including the severity of the bug, so it's not based strictly on the number of votes (we have tried to clarify this on the Instructions page).

Some of the completed ideas have have been top/big vote getters, and though number of votes is a stronger factor for feature requests, it's not the only factor. We do actually pay attention to feedback up there as well as here on the forum.

JC

Thank you JC for writing to us from AVID.
Since you are aware of this year long issue, could you explain why it wasn't addressed in the last PT 11.1.3 update please?
Though you may be listening, it is action we need.

Kind Regards
Lachlan

Yes, I concur with Lachlan.
I'd say this bug is "severe".
I had such high hopes for Pro Tools 11 but instead such a letdown.
I appreciate someone, JC, from Avid addressing the issue but it's waaaay late.
PT11 just sits there on my Mac. Not one project done with it.
Industry standard? smh

In the words of the great Eeyore “Thanks for noticin’ me.”

That's great that you have figured out such an easy and quick workaround.

Could you please share your workaround for multi-out VIs with 12 tracks bouncing out of time with each other and the click while trying to lay down a live new take?

I'm not being sarcastic, I really would love to know if you've figured out a feasible workaround or if you just don't use multi-out VIs, so it isn't an issue for you.

Thanks,

The Ghost

A kludge for multi out VSTi is not acceptable.
I don't have the time or patience.
So don't use PT11 you might say?...
Can I have my money back?
