Thank you! The note and info that engineering is on it is fantastic!

THANK YOU, AVID!

Put the VI on an audio track and your midi on a midi track and route it to the VI.

I hope they fix this but I'm glad I can continue working in 11.

Thanks to the guys who figured this out btw
Hi,

I just want to give a little heads up about the workaround when putting the VI on a audio track.
It doesn't really work correctly because if you compare the multi-out VI´s against other audio tracks in the session it will not play in sync against the other tracks.
It only plays in sync with the tracks that are in the multi-out setup, so to speak.

Maybe this is working for some people and not for others.
One person did test and confirm what I found though.
So I just want people to be aware of this.

Please see this thread for more info:
http://duc.avid.com/showthread.php?t=353680

This is the thing with this issue.
It is very easy to miss some step, like checking against other audio tracks. (I missed that myself... )

So if you are using this workaround, just be sure to check against other tracks in the session as well and use plugins that causes a lot of latency, to be sure that it is working.

Great to finally hear from Avid about this!

Best regards,
Markus

JC - enormously grateful for your presence here.

Please could you ensure that the thread below is also given a look as it appears to be linked to the delay compensation issues others are seeing, and has been reproduced independently:

The combination of the delay compensation bug and the AVE problems definitely kills PT11 for us. We see us forced to go back to PT10. We just upgraded our three HD system to HDX. This is real pain.

Exactly.
It works without being in sync with other audio tracks.

I'm glad we finally have some sign of life from Avid in this thread, but I do find it interesting that we have dead silence for almost a year until I suggest publicly bringing this to everyone's attention at every Avid event. It may have nothing to do with that and be purely coincidence, but the timing does suggest Avid may not want that to happen.

So, I am moving forward with publicly pointing this flaw out at every Avid event, including webinars such as this upcoming one: http://apps.avid.com/webinars/2014/E...lq_cid=1756605 and I hope others will too. The squeaky wheel does get the grease.

Let's make this wheel so squeaky that they can't ignore it anymore.

Finally we get some reply....
It's been nearly a year since PT11 was released.
I have a really bad taste in my mouth.

Too much, too little, too late to lie again with you
Too much, too little, too late to try again with you
We're in the middle of ending something that we knew

There have actually been other threads for this issue where the Moderators were involved (and they passed this info on to us). We obviously did not do a good job closing the loop and letting you know. Sorry for that.

We'll be merging the multiple threads here and on IdeaScale as well as creating a KB article to bring some focus to this.

Thanks,
JC
