Default 5.01 pro tools free help

well this kinda sucks, so I get pt 5.01 up and running on my g3 powerbook Pizmo 400mhz 256 ram. My old sessions were recorded on a PowerComputing Tower Pro 225 mhz 128 ram with a separate hd for recording

Now I am able to open any sessions 8 tracks and under but many of my sessions have virtual tracks and those won't open. Says I am exceeding playback engine max of 8 tracks. And to use the Transfer Track utillity.

And that is my problem, so why am I not getting more playback engine when my powerbook is faster than the old Power Tower?

Second problem is my unstuffing didn't go all that well, I was able to get the PTfree but some stuff didn't unstuff such as the Track Transfer utillity.

problem solved. I originally used 3.4 which allows virtual tracks and I guess Digidesign did away with virtual tracks in 5.01.

Its several techno projects I did about 16 years ago. I had sold off my gear and recently I got the music bug again and thought it would be kool to finish up those projects.

So I found PTfree 3.4 and 5.01 and bought an old g3 laptop and will hopefully within the next few weeks have some thing to listen too.

Well what a bummer, the back up sessions I have are not what I thought they were. None of the almost completed songs were on any of my discs. :-(

However I will be able to sample some stuff if I can find my aiff convert to wave program I used to have

Man I was soooo unorganized back when I was younger
