Default Re: 10.3.4 Hybrid iLok problem

I had a similar problem with Pro Tools in general when installing 10.3.4. See my thread here:

It is possible that the license you own for Hybrid is for version 1.5, and the Pro Tools 10.3.4 update mistakenly updated Hybrid to version 1.6. An iLok license for v1.5 would not authorize v1.6 (introduced when the Pro Tools Instrument Expansion Pack came out).

If that is the case you should be able to delete (or at least remove it from your plug-ins folder) the updated version of the Hybrid plug-in.

And then install the correct version for your Hybrid license from this page in the Knowledge Base:
Hybrid Information and Downloads Kbase
http://avid.force.com/pkb/articles/download/en355527

Not that you have to, but if you do have Hybrid v1.0-1.5, there are a couple of upgrade options to either Hybrid 1.6, or to the full Pro Tools Instrument Expansion Pack on the bottom row of this page in the Avid online store:

I posted elsewhere but I'm having no joy with this either. Trying to update to 1.5.4 throws up iLok errors despite having the latest drivers etc. Most annoying.

I have the same problem since the upgrade from PT 10.3.3 to 10.3.4, and I think Bruce is right about the version#. So I tried 2 ways:

1) Clean uninstall of 10.3.4 and re-installed 10.3.3. But now, as posted by others here as well, Hybrid won't work with 10.3.3 anymore.

2) Trashed the Hybrid .dmp and respective content from the Plugins-folder, as well as the DAE Prefs "installed plugins" in the User Preferences. Then tried to re-install Hybrid 1.5.2, which is the download offered under the link that Bruce posted. Problem: Hybrid 1.5.2 installer says it detects a newer version, hence it will not start installing.

Funny enough, Hybrid 1.5.3 upgrader won't work either. Says, no version of Hybrid has been detected.

@ Avid: This is most annoying. Please advise, how to uninstall Hybrid 1.6 so owners of a 1.5 license can install their version. - What has changed in Hybrid so much anyways, that we are supposed to shell out money again?

The same problem just showed up for me.
I have taken all the steps that the above users have posted with no luck.
Avid/AIR please help us asap!

iLok driver software up to date.
Hybrid license is visible on iLok from iLok license manager.

Check this out guys. This is the key to successfully remove version 1.6, and install version 1.5.2 again, and upgrade to 1.5.3. Works perfectly. Found it in another discussion in this forum:

Default Another Hybrid Auth Question....

I lost my ability to use Hybrid after my PT 10.3.3 to 10.3.4 update.
When starting PT get alerts telling me that I do not have the license required for Hybrid v.1.6. My iLok* account shows that a license for Hybrid is present but, there is no version number. I believe this means that it is an earlier (than 1.6) version.
Q: How do I get a license for Hybrid v.1.6?
Do I need to purchase Hybrid v1.6 after the update to PT v10.3.4?

*My iLok drivers are up to date.

You need to purchase the upgrade to Hybrid v1.6 available from the Avid store.
