Control 24 not working - Am I in offline mode?

After a few days away from the studio, I came back to find that when I loaded up Protools, the control 24 is offline. The monitor section works, but nothing else does. Protools keeps popping a box that says that the Control 24 is not attached; and to check the power and connections. I have to wonder, has it entered some sort of standalone mode? If so, how do I get it back? Thank You very nuch

Go to peripherals section and rescan for controllers again. After rescan see if you can choose it under numbers of available controller slots. It should be recognised and you'll need to select it. It will go online right away.

Obviously check that the ethernet cable is tightly connected at both ends!

Mine does this once a year, switch off amps/speakers, switch off C24 for a minute orso, reboot and rescan through the previously mentioned 'Periphirals' menu. Works for me.

Don't forget to switch amps/speakers when C24 is booted...

Yeah, sometimes the unit just gets "stupid". Power cycling the board usually takes care of it. TURN OFF YER AMPS! Hehe
