Pro Tools 9 wont start! Quits unexpectedly.... Quits during startup...

This error just started tonight.... Can anyone help???

Im running Mac OS X Lion (10.7.3) & I have a 003 Rack with Pro Tools 9.0.6 Installed...

I am soo lost, please help if you can....

I have the same problem. I am using OSX 10.7.3 but the only difference is that I am running PT 8 LE with an Mbox 3.

Troubleshooting so far:

1- updated PT
2- removed all plugins form the plugins folder and reattempted launch
3- removed any digidesign databases, preferences, plists & other library support files as mentioned in another forum thread.
4- repaired disk permissions.

Still no joy. Upon launch all PT runs its checks, asks which session I want to set up and after I have created the session PT quits before loading any windows and presents no error codes or messages.

Can someone please help? Thanks in advance.

Still no joy I'm afraid.

I did have messages beta installed on this machine but I had uninstalled it before I had installed pro tools.

Pretty lost on this one .

Sorry to hear that, I was surprised to see thats what was blocking mines from opening, i hope you figure it out soon... I know how it feels to be out of Pro Tools, it sucks.... have you recently installed anything else new? or made any other changes to your system?

I installed traktor pro 2. Can't remember if the issue with PT launching happened after I installed traktor. But traktor is taking ages to launch which is another problem I am having.

Im not sure. Im sorry I can't be clearer. I think it was via the software updater as I was already on 10.7.2.

Have you tried uninstalling Traktor Pro 2? That might be it... Especially if its taking forever to load... I am of course speaking from a "guessing/narrowing things down" point of view as I do not actually have Traktor installed myself...
