Default Power Supply Replacement for New Unit

So just wanted to see what people felt was the best method in getting a new Power Supply for a Brand new Artist Mix.

Just bought 2 Artist Mixes and one of the two power supplies that came with the units doesn't work out of the box. That Power Supply will not power up either unit. I have confirmed that both surfaces work with the Power Supply that does work.

I have a case submitted with Avid, and have called my reseller and they are working on it as well. I just wanted to see if anyone else has went through this and how it was handled.

I was able to online chat with a representative in the webstore and they said I should be contacted within the day. Is that what others have experienced as far as a response time from Avid Support?

Thanks in advance on any info you can provide.

I'm having trouble with mine as well. Unfortunately it's out of warranty. Did you end up getting a replacement for free? These little things are expensive...

If it doesn't work "out of the box" it should be replaced for free, no? I mean options should be either money back or a working product.

Did you receive a solution, paulywalnuts23?

Never happened to me, so cannot help you with experience.

Agree if under warranty. Otherwise you will have to pay to play as with all other electronics. There are a set time for warranties and I expect all companies follow those guidelines. If it breaks after a year it is out of warranty and the owner has to pay for replacements.
