Default When is Digidesign providing Windows 7 support!!!

Frustration to the highest degree is not only did I have to buy an Mbox in order to use Pro Tools because they tie their hardware to their software, but I can't even use it under Windows 7 x64. I had to install XP again. Come on, XP is a 9 year old OS. Everyone else is onboard for Windows 7, Steinburg, Propellerhead, but not Digidesign "THE INDUSTRY LEADER!".

This is a crock of [bleep][bleep][bleep][bleep]. I'm wondering how many are as frustrated as I am that Windows 7 drivers are still not here. The beta ones work like crap, which is understandable for beta, but they should have had final ones already!

Is there any estimation? Or am I going to have to keep booting to XP for this?

I hope that when they stop eating their donuts and drinking their coffee that they actually release something soon.

Many (most?) people have PT running very well on Win 7. I run it on Win 7x64 and it is solid. If you post a Sandra report, someone will take a look and try and help.

By the way, you said you bought an Mbox - I presume you mean an Mbox 2 of some sort as Mbox 1 will not work.

Wich version of windows and pro tools have you tried ?

I'v been running Windows 7 ultimate 64 bit + PT 8.0.3 for months.
Have you tried to run PT as administrator ?
That eliminates some problems for me.
