could it be that my norton 360 is running and causes pro tools to freeze and stop responding?

You need to listen to what these kind folks are asking you to do and read the threads. You can't expect people to just do the work for you. READ the threads, Google "Sandra report", put in the effort. There is a method to the madness.

Don't worry about it man; thatz pretty much where this forum has been going as of late with anybody thinking they can make music or be a producer just because they've bought PT; guys just like this is where THIS thread was derived from...
