HD driver 2018.10

I updated to PTHD 2018.10 Ultimate and installed the HD driver and its nowhere to be found in the mac audio/midi control panel. I see there were past issues with the HD driver, are there still issues?

Mac Pro 5.1, 10.13.6, HD Native PCIe

It is more or less working ok here with HDX and 10.13.6 on my Mac Pro. There have been a few strange little things occur. Occasionally Ableton Live will kick the HDX card off as it's selected core audio interface, and I did have one experience where the HDX card just disappeared from the system entirely.

If you haven't already, try a reboot while clearing NVRAM & PRAM and see it that helps.

We had that issue a few months ago with our HDX2 system on Sierra and it came together after trashing of the preferences and deleting the databases.

If it works then why do you need to ”see” the driever or is it the HDX card you can’t see?

I cannot 'see' the HD Native card in the Macs Audio/Midi control panel. It doesn't appear there and the HD Native card is not available for use with 3rd party software or iTunes. As the mac doesn't see it as an available option. With Pro Tools Ultimate the HD Native card works as it should.
