Default Waves V7 rumor

Just got an email from somebody selling Waves stuff online:

"
ALL TDM Products + Upgrades OVER 50% OFF
Platinum Native 45% OFF
Version 7 just released >> WUP must be current to get it FREE
Call us to update WUP at discount
"

Can't see V7 on Waves site just yet, so maybe it's coming, maybe not...

Would be very nice. But the current version is at 6.1. So, unless waves follow Apples INSANE incremental policy (Logic 8.0.2 to Logic 9.0) I dont think it would happen.

But funny how most software vendors think that calling the next version a BIG number will make it better. What a Joke.

Might very well be.. I got an email a well from a dealer I used for discounted WUP, etc... When I logged into my account, it wouldn't take me to the page saying SERVICE UNAVAILABLE... I assume it's due to high server load at pulling down the new installer..

Peace!

Waves was opening talking about V7 at AES. It will be needed for Vocal Rider and the other new plugin.

Sure Enough!

Downloading the new installer, and have sent the new licenses to my iLok account!

Good on ya! Waves!

I noticed three new things looking through the license list, Vocal Rider, LoAir, and Stereo to Surround. This is for the native Mercury/Studio Classics.. not sure if it's the same for TDM.

Cool.

Important Notes

All previous versions of products that you update will be removed from your iLok and replaced by V7. After updating to V7, you will not be able to use these versions again.

I am assuming that WAVES 7 will work with PT8.0.1?

Their server is running very slowly. It's 7am PST and my download speed is 86kbps. Reminds me of the good old dial up days. LOL!

Apple seems to be the only company on the planet that actually handle sever loads. Guess that is why they're Apple.
