Default Use Marco and functionkey is Eucon

Hello,

I'm trying to setup some custom buttons on my Avid control / eucon. But things are not working.. Maybe somebody can help me..

First:
How can I use the F-function keys…..
I can add a command (key) and select the Special function /Fn (for instance /F4) to call function key 4 nothing is happening when tapping the Button on the touch screen

Second:
I would like to make a short macro to start an application for a button on the Touchscreen..

For instance:
I open the Launcher on my mac and have the application name entered followed by a Return.

Key: Open launcher (Custom Key command since the F-key's don't work)
Key: 'Protools' (this will enter the text 'Protools' in the seachbar - Working fine)
Key: /n (push Return/Enter)
This last command is not working. So the launcher is opened on the MAC, the text is enter perfectly but the Return is not given…..
So protools is not started.

The strange thing is.... when I make a separate Button with only the /n command. and I push this one after I did the one above 'Protools' starts
(Also when I push the enter key on my keyboard after running the macro above)
So can anybody help me why the functionkey's cannot be programmed and the 'Return' cannot be given in a Macro ????

Thanks
Rolof

I'm not sure about the Func but the other is probably that the return is being pressed too early. Try putting in a pause or few pauses (from the special list /a)

Hi Eddie,

This might be the case, but how can I add a delay between two commands. /a (pause) is not doing anything. (I read somewhere that this isn't a command to delay commands but the pause button for Playercontrol)

Thanks...
P.s. I found a workaround.... I can use Automator in OSX to make my own keycommands.. (complete sequences) works great...but stil it should work in eucon itself.

Yes we want to add a proper delay that you can set the time of.

Hi Eddy,
Do you mean you would like to have this feature??? Or do you mean it's possible. (If the last.. how? Do you have an example)

Thanks

If it's a request then I have a bad feeling about this.
In the meanwhile I have seen that it has been requested for long, long time. Like the option to copy and past soft buttons and pages. I find it a pitty that this kind of powerfull (and expensive hardware comes with this limited software.
It could become so much more.......

Raises a next question...... Is there any software out there that can 'edit' the XML files of eucon in a userfriendly way......

Thanks

+1 on the copy/paste feature for softkeys

There is a EuconLayouterS6 app but I don’t think it will work for all eucon devices.

I have found this editor, but I can't find a trailversion.
I have no problems to buy the program if it works fine but that's something I like to try first .....

Hi all,

I found the problem with the F-keys....
You have to turn off the keyboard option....
Use keys 'F1'-'F2' as standard.
After disabling this function the Fn function in eucon
Worked....

Thanks
