protools 3.2 to 5.0

hello everybody!

we are a small music studio using protools 3.2 using a sony dlt for backup (mezzo software) this system has never been updated. we are now interested in the full upgrade to protools 5.

my question and concern is maintaining our old files. how is the compatibility between pt5 and older versions of pt? and also mezzo? any advise, tips, cautions will be greatly appreciated. thank you.
