Default How do I add user made patches?

I have had my rack for about a year now and am looking to make tones......I also found some nice sounding user made patches that I would not mind having. I bought my rack on Ebay from a music store and they were selling it with or without the Pro Tools. Since I already have a DAW that I use and would not trade for the world, I bought the rack without Pro Tools. I have come to find out that there is no way to add user made patches unless you have Pro Tools?? I am coming from Line 6 POD's where you have a whole community website where you can share/download and install with the online editor. Is it really true that I can't add patches without having Pro Tools?
Also......if I want to make a new tone, there are no empty preset spaces? I have to overwrite a factory preset?

Benoni (a DUC mod) has a great site for this: http://elevenrackusers.blogspot.ca/

And you don't need Pro Tools, Avid created a standalone free editor for the Eleven Rack: http://connect.avid.com/eleven-rack-editor.html

Enjoy! I'm very happy with mine.

Wait......you mean all this time I could have just used the editor? I already have that on my pc.....its how I tweak tones now. Someone told me that I can only use Pro Tools so I did not know........Ok, so how do I import a new patch?

In that past you had to use Pro Tools because there was no standalone editor. Now you can use the standalone editor.

I think this video covers it.

watching this video I can see I probably need to update it, the basics are the same though.

I watched the video.....thanks......I will try adding a new patch soon. I also had no idea there were empty banks for user made patches. I have to look at where that is.....I only see the factory presets.....

Well page 17 of the user manual explains it very well.

User Rigs and Factory Rigs
By default, all 104 user Rigs are copies of the 104 factory Rigs. This gives you a place to start when you set out to make your own Rigs. As you scroll through, notice that when you get past the end of the uppercase (user) Rigs, you’ll then begin to see the lowercase (preset) Rigs.

The user Rigs are yours to edit, change, copy, and mangle as you see fit. The preset Rigs will always stay the same. If you make changes to a preset Rig and want to save it, you can save it as a new User
Rig.

Down load the user manual and give it a read. It is a very well written manual, and it is loaded with information.
