I use a SL Zero - very nice.... sometimes it's hard to get the template set up properly, but once you're up and running there are many things you can do with it.

I recommend you watch this :

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5W3fBrB72Ww

It's a review / comparison between the SL MkII and the other popular controller, the Axiom Pro.

Well, the Axiom Pro has the HyperControl thingy, which I don't know very much about, but, given that the Zero is made by a third-party company, you can expect it to perform better with a wider variety of music-making software.

So, if your intention is to use a wide variety of software in addition to Pro Tools, I would recommend the Zero over the Axiom.

I'm not sure I know entirely what you mean....

when you set levels on tracks and in VI's etc, they would remain after you switch, and when you switch back, wouldn't they?

You wouldn't need motorized faders just for that.

Hi

what I mean, leys say you got a 24 channel track and bank to track 16 and then bank back to track 8 set that level, when you bank back to channel 16 the initial place of teh fader will be on the volume of track 8 so you first have to move it up or down to the level of track 16
