Default Why do I hear an echo when I'm recording vocals

Ok, so when I go to record vocals I hear an echo of my vocals in my headphones?

I put the Mix volume tab all the way down and that eliminates the echo but then I cant hear the instrumental that im trying to record my vocals over.

So my question is:
How can I record my vocals onto an instrumental without hearing an echo and hearing the instrumental at a good volume through my headphones?

Please help =D

You could, lower the buffer down to 256, that works good enough, IMO, or run your mic and PT outputs through an external mixer so you hear no latency at all.
I do that alot.
My 2 cents anyway

Mbox is LE (confusing with the M I know)

Try reposting in the LE forum, I don't know how the mix works on the Mbox 2

But in settings Playback engine, set your buffer as low as you can. That will alleviate, the latency
