but anyway, after talking to a bunch of mastering guys i ended up going with a new plextor. the lacie stuff looks great but i hate external power supplies so i'll probably never own anything they make...

Thats funny, I never once thought about putting "audio" on a dvd (only data).
Audio on a dvd dosen't "logically to me" seem like a good marriage!! In all reality you are being a real cheap a** if you want to burn more than 80-90mins of music on one source unless its mp3 or 4

Hmm, I think he means burning an Audio CDR in a DVD Burner. All Superdrives are Super they can burn DVDs as well as CDs
