Default Playing Multi Channel Audio Through Venue

Hello all! I need to playback several audio files (both mono and stereo) through a Venue for A/B testing. I would like each file played into a separate channel on the console. Then I can solo/mute them for comparison.

What's the easiest way to do this? Can I do it with an iPad? Laptop? Software?

OK. A bunch of views and no answers. I hope this wasn't a dumb question. I'm totally new to the venue.

Is there still a Pro Tools Free version that I can run on a Windows laptop and connected to the Venue?

No, there is not.

Can you be more specific about what you're trying to do, or what you want to achieve?

It *sounds* like you want to mult one or two inputs to multiple VENUE input channels. This is easily accomplished using the Patchbay in VENUE.

If this is what you want to do, I can tell you how to do this.

No, that is not what I'm trying to achieve. I need to play back several audio files (both mono and stereo) at the same time through multiple channels on the Venue, one channel for each audio file.

We use a Mac Mini, with a Digi 002 and I think Pro Tools 9.0 (we just upgraded to 9.0 from 7.4.2). It does 7 audio tracks and 1 Click. Then just route them into the inputs in the FOH rack.

I think what Scott Fahy says is where it comes down to.
you need to have DAW and an interface with a few outputs you're there.

and if you have Pro Tools (i believe from 8 or higher) and a fwx card installed in your Venue, Venue will be your interface.
