Default CD burning

Hey guys,

I used to use Wavelab before I did music on a Mac. Now, of course that's not compatible...Is there any software out there that can do the same thing Wavelab could do (montage, convert to Mp3, etc.)? I also have parallel 4. Is it possible to get Wavelab to actually work with my CD drive and 003? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Toast seems to be the popular Mac solution(but I'm a WaveLab fan as well. I haven't tried it in Bootcamp as my Mac Pro is up for sale. Sony CD Architect looks really good but I can't tell from their website whether or not it runs on Mac. Maybe check with Sweetwater on that?

CD Architect won't work and Toast doesn't have much in the way of editing tools like Wavelab.

If you're on an Intel Mac, it's likely Wavelab will work in Bootcamp - you may want to try it.

Alternate solutions for Mac would be Bias Peak or i3 DSP-Quattro. Both are similar to Wavelab in their functionality.

Thanks for that. It reminds me that I just read a really great review of Bias Peak.

If you're on WinXP, just install the standalone ASIO drivers available on our site.

I think 9/10 macusers are on Bias Peak, plus with the mastering tools it tends to be the way to go.

Although for day to day CD / DVD burning, plus the new version has nice conversion features, Toast Titanium is definitely a worthwhile purchase.
