Avid Mojo and ADR
Is anybody using the Avid Mojo box for their composite video out signal in Pro Tools HD? Is there an offset because the Mojo is firewire or does it work some magic?

Re: Avid Mojo and ADR
If you're using Avid video media (from an Avid, or digitized straight into PT through your Mojo) no offset is required. With imported Quicktime media, you will need an offset.
Keep in mind your video monitor likely has some latency that you'll want to compensate for with the "Video Sync Offset" setting. There are separate fields for Avid and Quicktime. You can drive yourself crazy trying to estimate the required offsets, or you can buy a Syncheck box and make the job easy. Syncheck II |

Re: Avid Mojo and ADR
An easy way i've found to check sync, is get a peice of video with timecode burn-in, throw your big counter up on your screen, and take a picture while protools is running of both timecodes. you may have to do it a few times to get it just right, but it beats buying another peice of gear to check sync.
