G4 400mhz vs P3 1GHZ
Ok, lets not start a war over this topic!
I currently have the Digi001 running on a G4/400mhz system. I'm using two 7200RPM drives, and 192MB of ram. I also have a motherboard here that I can upgrade to 1GHZ P3. I'm wondering if it will give me better performance with the same type of drive, and memory configuration. I love both Mac and PC systems. Whatever gets the job done, and has the most firepower wins! |

Re: G4 400mhz vs P3 1GHZ
i would personally stick with the mac. i wish i had a mac at the moment that could run my pt rig, but i dont. i have to use it on a windows box. win has no video support. that bugs me. or i cant find the video support and i am stupid.... i even consider buying the pci expansion chassis just so i can run pt on my powerbook........maybe, but that too expensive, i might rather just buy a new machine....
