PT11 recording up to 80 tracks onto a SDXC card
Sorry in advance, if it has been posted already, I had myself a brief search
in the DUC, found older threads about recording to SD cards but nothing about this latest test. So I thought it could be interesting to the ones who haven´t seen it yet. Pro Tools Expert posted this today which is cool in a way I think. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=up-DtaqdaXw The essence is that it´s possible now to record up to 80 tracks simultaneously onto a SDXC card which is a nice step towards the future IMO. On day probably no more external HDs needed for mobile recording with PT. He does it with a PT11HD I think which indeed might work better because of Disk Cache as with 11 "Vanilla" but it´s cool anyway. And you also can use a "normal" SDXC card, it don´t has to be a Micro with the Nifty adapter however it´s a stylish thing. Anyway. Have fun everybody, cheers, VRW MacMini i7Quad, 16GB Ram, MBP Mid 2012 2,5GHz i5, 16GB Ram, MacOS 10.9.2, Apogee Quartet+Duet 2, Genelec Active, Yamaha NS10, Pro Tools 11.1.2, Logic 10.0.6, Waves, MCDSP, Duende Native, Softube, HOFA, IK Multimedia etc |
