Default Sudden problem (-50) error; can\'t save

very strange but this just started happenning today. I can't save (or quit for that matter) a file. When I try to it just says "-50 error" and nothing about DAE. The only TWO things I did was update the firmware on my Midi I/O (which PT would see only 50% of the time) and I moved my ilok key to another open USB spot.

Anyone ever have this?

BTW> when I do a search for anything it just throws up random posts. I am checking all the right categories and even using "" on most but I am getting horrible results...

Hi,

Have you tried the obligitory trash prefs and DIGI databases!!

Also check privileges(right click on a drive volume) on your hard drive volumes and repair disk permissions from disk utility.

I have just had the same thing happen to me. I can see the file in the audio files folder but when I try to import it, PT says "aif1.01 is unreadable by pro tools"
When I finished my recording I got an (-50) error; can't save message.
I had changed the folder during the recording process. Also when I Apple key I (info) the file It says that it's 335 megs.

Does anybody have a work around in mind?

You need to look at either "save session data as" to create a new session (and include all audio) or open a new session and use "import session data"

Moral of this session is, don't changed folder/names/detaisl during a session!!!

Also trash Digi databases on all volumes to refresh them all.
