Default MTP II with PT 5

We are trying to make a Mark of the Unicorn Midi Time Piece II send SMPTE Time code to Pro Tools 5 but not succeeding. The MTP receives and reads the TC but does not transmit to the application. It still works with Digital Performer, though.

Set-up: PowerMac 9600/300, 256 Meg, PT 24 Mix, FreeMidi in OMS simulation.

We have succeeded with a MOTU Micro Express but have to use the MTP II

I recently had a similar problem..Lets see if I can remember the solution....
1. Trash Free Midi and OMS preferences
2. Open Free Midi, select "use OMS setup" when prompted
3. Configure OMS, save & make current, then quit.
4. Reopen Free Midi, de-select "Use OMS" in Free Midi prefs.
5. Setup Free Midi the same as OMS

Please let me know if this is unsuccesfull. I beleive this was the method, but I'm not sure as I'm now at home.
Good Luck, PS

Thank you Peter. I followed each step and succeeded after a couple of tries. Now I just want to be able to switch easily from PT to Digital Performer 2.6 without having to reset and trash everything each time!
