Default i cant export Pro tools le 8.0.4 Mbox 3

I NEED SOME HELP
i just installed my new mbox 3 with pro tools 8.0.4(cd included with registration code) in windows 7 64 bits

and now i realise that i cant export my project the export option looks grey not black i cant click on it.


whats the problen any body tell me please. why I cant do this I need to revalidate my pt or what?

I think you may not be understanding what the "export" function in Pro Tools is used for.

If you are trying to create a complete audio file of your mix, you should be using "Bounce To->Disk" and choosing the appropriate information for the destination file there.

A little time with the Pro Tools Reference Guide (or even the Getting Started Guide) might help.

thanx. but when i select bounce and i choose to mp3. pt dont allow do that?

its that normal? i need any update? buy that option ?

In any version of Pro Tools before Pro Tools 9, the MP3 export was a "paid" option. So on 8.0.4, you would need to cough up the extra $20 to export directly to MP3, or bounce to a stereo interleaved WAV file and use one of the multiple free MP3 converters (iTunes, Windows Media Player, etc etc).
