I want to make an external trigger for the talkback button..

are there any plans for this mod or has this even been attempted?

I'd like to do this mod and am willing to apply it to my control 24 board myself.

I'm looking for something like a hand held box with a momentary push button switch and even being able to lock it on would be a nice feature also

Any ideas?

Not sure why you would need a mod for this. The footswitch input can be configured from the utility menu to do what you want. That's the way I have mine set up. I have a button back by the producer's chair that is tied in this way.
