back to the topic, Kontakt 5 has some very cool features that Structure does not .. like many 3rd party libraries, some really cool warping features .. i build and share sounds with other K5 users .. !!! ok, i said my piece for K5 ..

Kontakt 5 is my main sample player with Sampletank 3 a distant second. I say sample player because none of these programs actually sample but play the samples you record or download. Sampletank has a pretty good engine for stretching things from the original pitch. Haven't tried UVI Falcon but understand it's a killer vi as it does more than just work with samples.

Very Interesting to see lots of guys using Kontakt 5 , I have never delved into this before and looked under it's hood ..., So far I have only used K5 it as the engine to host my N.I and purchased 3rd party V.I's

Kontakt is very powerful once you get under the hood and learn how it works.

Well yes (I guess) .., Sorry I am not sure how exactly the correct terminology is meant to be though ?

When I referred to 3rd party V.I's for me this means;

- If load up a SonicCouture Steinway piano into kontact (for example) , I am then playing a 'virtual instrument' AFAIK with my controller keyboard as opposed to being seated in front of and playing a playing a real life steinway piano made from real wood .


and by 3rd party V.I's in my case these would be ...,
- Sonic Couture ,and their various instrument products that all use kontact
- Modwheel ,and their various instrument products that all use kontact
- Realitone , and their various instrument products that all use kontact
- and many many others etc , that all rely on kontact as it's host
