Elastic Audio freakout?

PT2018 and this popped up yesterday(again) and its a royal PITA. Only seems to happen with X-Form(which is the one algorithm I want as it produces the least artifacts). Move a Warp Marker and the waveform disappears, and the track meters slam to the top. Playback only produces a popping noise and none of the audio plays from the clip that went blank. I can Ctrl-Z and back out to working audio, but whatever warp edit I want cannot be done(and these adjustments are gentle, just to move things into better alignment with no radical stretching or shortening). Yesterday, I resorted to Monophonic(was working on a bass track) and of course, after a handful of minor timing fixes, the resulting audio was full of artifacts. At this point, the only workaround I have is to load the audio into Melodyne and move things around inside that(this at least triples the time it takes to get the work done)

I’ve not seen this particular one, but I’ve had other funnies when it comes to Elastic. The only thing that’s worked for me for these particular instances is a complete uninstall / reinstall, including deleting prefs and all that jazz. It’s tedious mind.
