Default Waves iLok issue

Hi,

Has anyone run intro the situation where you are surrendering a Waves license for an updated one, but then when you are about to do it, you get the "not enough room on iLok" error. Not sure what to do here.

Any help would be great.

Congrats. You have exceed the maximum amount of licenses on your iLok.

You should probably purchase a new iLok and move all your non Waves plugs to it.

...yea, been through that already. i have a dedicated ilok for my waves mercury + studio classics bundles.

i just ended up with the weird situation where I have:
waves mercury + studio classics version 7.1 licenses, and also a waves mercury + studio classics version 7.0 pending license.

when i go to surrender my 7.1 for 7.2 i get the ilok full message. it doesn't seem like i can get rid of the 7.0 pending license in any way.

Send a note to Waves Tech support and ask them to remove the pending license or try to move the pending license(s) on a different ilok.

The solution for me has been to keep an extra ilok just for the stuff I'll never use.

Hi,

Were these TLC auths on the ilok? i had TLC and the waves update cannot remove them when updating and i had to buy a new ilok for the new waves auths.

Hi Guys,

Thanks for the replies. I did have a TLC Mercury + SC which was eating up the iLok, the solution was, as mentioned to buy another iLok and move the unneeded assets to it. It worked, but seriously this system needs to get a bit hipper - ability to delete assets maybe? Would be nice....but I guess there would be a bunch less iLoks sold.

yes, and as noted earlier,
pert soon one waves auth will not fit on a single key.

When the TLC expires and you synch your ilok they will be removed.
