Pro Tools 12 crashing the instant load screen hits...

Hi all;

While I realize i'm supposed to look for resolution before posting, please note that I have :) - My issue is a bit more complex just because of the situation with my system too.

OK so, Vitals:

Intel 2.4ghz Quad-Core i7
16GB Ram
500gb Samsung Internal SSD
2TB External F/W Drive
Yosemite 10.10.4 (with latest upgrades incl. combo upgrade)

Seems simple enough, right?

Anyway, Pro Tools 12 had been running like a charm on my system until my Mac itself started to crash constantly. After much fighting with it it turned out that it was due to a bad Logic board caused by the bad GFX card they'd put on the late 2011 model Macs. So, took it to Apple, they replaced with new Logic Board/GFX, back it comes, machine runs like a dream.

Now however; Pro Tools doesn't boot. The absolute second the load screen hits it freezes. Now, in case Apple screwed something in my install I did a Time Machine restoration and i'm having the same problem, which of course worries me as it makes me think its the hardware...but it really can't be because everything is now newer than it even was before.

I deleted and re-installed PT, Repaired permissions on the drive, made sure I don't have FileVault on anywhere etc. Any pointers?

I've attached an image of what PT *DOES* get to before dying. Oh, and if this IS common, apologies - but i've tried my best to at least explain it as well as I can.

Have you tried trashing your preferences?

Unfortunately that didnt fix it I appreciate the help to try that though as I wasn't aware of that app.

Any ideas for anything else I can try?

You might want to contact Avid support on this one. They can provide deeper debugging then we can't here on the forums.
