Default Cannot see PlugIn/send list

Hi Everybody,

Just installed my PT10 on my macbook pro 15" retina. Everything works great except the plug in/send list. Both on edit as the mix window. No other plugs are installed.

Can you help me?
Thanks

Andrea

If you are on Mavericks/Yomemite click on "no send/insert", it should show up.
This is a 10 bug on the newer operating systems.

I had no alert when I istalled my PT 10 3.10 on my mac os 10 9 1.
So, I cannot find a reason. if my pt is not compatible with my os, I should get a message and i should not proceed...isn't it?

Well,

This has been pretty well documented for a while and people ask the same question every week.
I'm not blaming you.....I still run into weird problems that I just missed somehow.
When you open the insert/send list like you show in your pictures, at the top, it says "No insert", "no send"....
Just click that. Usually this list shows up.
I took our PT 10 machine back to Mountain Lion and everything works as it should.
Frustrating yeah.

I think there is something very fishy about these recurring and annoying bugs that make it always difficult to use the current version of Protools whenever there is an OS upgrade.

So can someone tell me, honestly and sincerely, why Avid doesn't keep its slightly dated Protools versions workable for longer than one OS upgrade cycle? Because it sure looks like a greedy economic policy for Avid to use minor bugs as a way to charge its users $200 whenever there's an OS upgrade. I feel abandoned by them, and that feeling doesn't occur with any other software company whose products I have owned for the long term. The Avid phenomenon seems the outlier, and it happens so regularly almost every time the OS updates, that I have started feeling that maybe it is a company policy. After dealing with this phenomenon for years now, I am finally worn out by Avid's rather systematic unwillingness to keep slightly older versions of Protools workable by releasing a simple fix for some small but necessary problem that arises. I mean, who actually believes there can be no fix whatsoever for the visual bug of disappearing menu items? After 20 years working on Protools, my own next upgrade will be for Personus or Cubase.

I think that is your best bet.
You'll be much less frustrated.

Unfortunately, I have the same feeling of oreo1. spent a real fortune on software/hardware (hd3 with 3 192s in studio+ protools 10 for the laptop) and I still without PT. that's incredible.

Bookerv12, so kind from yotu. sorry, but today I spent the whole day looking about this problem. Unfortunately it doesn't work to me.....so my PT is a real mess. It's not possible to work like this. so sad.
