AV option V10 failed to initialize

Hi all,
I am having trouble installing my Brand New ProTools HD7.1 cs7 with AV option V10.

ProTools installs just fine, but when I try to launch it, it detects the AVoption V10,
and starts to update the firmware.
The status bar shows the following;
"Launching Video Engine"
"Sending Firmware Data"
"Failed to execute abort download after a failed download attempt"

Then a message appears saying that Video firmware has been updated,
power cycle the DNA after ProTools Exits.

So I turn it off, and then back on again, then launch ProTools, and the same thing happens.
Tries to update the firmware, aborts, and tells me to power cycle the DNA.

Since I bought 2 X AV option V10 DNA, I tried it on the other unit, and the same thing happens.

The same thing happens with the Media Station 1.8.2.
When I launch it, it tries to update the firmware, but fails to do so, and aborts, and the software doesn't launch.

Can someone tell me what the problem is?

And I should add....
that I tried it with PT 6.9.1, and still the same thing.

I'm running on a HP xw9300 AMD Opteron Dual Processor.
Windows XP sp2 ProTools HD3 accel.
