SampleTank not available in Inserts dropdown menu

I've searched many threads and can't seem to find the answer to the question, "Where are my Sampletank instruments?"

I see them here:

C:\Program Files\IK Multimedia\IK Digidesign Bundle\SampleTank Instruments

...but I can't access them from a track's Insert dropdown menu.

If at all possible, I do not want to reinstall SampleTank. Also I should mention I have upgraded to PTLE 7.1. I have 7.3, but waiting until I finish at NYU before upgrading to beyond what the school has installed.

I have managed my MIDI setup with 1 MIDI class and the help of the DUC. Now I am hoping there is a simple answer like dragging the IK Digidesign Bundle\SampleTank Instruments folder into one of the Plug-in folders in C:\Program Files\Common Files\Digidesign\DAE, but I am paranoid with my final exam coming up in 4 weeks. I definitely don't need to run into any major issues at this time.

I see that all the file extensions in the DAE\Plug-Ins folder are .dpm and .rsr, but the SampleTank Instruments are .sth, .sti, and .stw. Will that be a problem?

Let me say that I don't post many threads. Fact being, someone on the DUC has probably ran into the same exact problem you have. Therefore, all you have to do is search. I have recommended the DUC to fellow classmates and the Professor totally agreed with my suggestion.

Are you inserting on a stereo track? Sampletank only works/appears on stereo tracks.
