Default Problem installing Ultimate on Win 10

When I run the installer for 2018.4 on Windows 10 it doesn't complete. It gets through a few Windows screens and when I click OK the installer disappears. On the last attempt I did get the purple Pro Tools installer window just for a second before it quit. Below are screenshots of the progression of the install before it stops. Any ideas?

Possibly because 2018.5 isn't out yet. But seriously, it may be a corrupt download, so I would download the installer again and see if that works. If not Let us have as many details about your system as possible so that someone can diagnose the problem.

With Windows, always remember to use the Run as Administrator option when installing PT

Try the following:

Restore to the image/clone you made before attempting the update. Clean uninstall the version of PT on the computer. Reboot and run CCleaner's Registry Cleaner, fix and run again until there are no more issues shown. Download the 2018.4 installer again. Install PT 2018.4.

If you haven't fixed it yet I would try moving the installer from the Download file to the desktop and install from there. Make sure you are logged in as Administrator also

Thanks everyone for their help!

I was able to get it to install eventually by logging in to an Administrator account (or I created one, I don't know which as I'm not really a Windows guy so I'm not good with this). Either way once I was logged in to the Admin account I ran the installer and on the second try it took. Once I logged out of that account and back into my regular account I was able to launch Pro Tools and it opened just fine.

Thanks again for the suggestions.

Right Click on the Pro Tools Shortcut Icon, go to Properties, then go to the Compatibility Tab and Check: "Run this program as administrator". One of the Avid Optimizations for Pro Tools on Windows. Have you done the rest? You should.
